Definitely summer clothes during the day, and in the evening take with you a light jacket of pullover just in case the weather freshens up a bit, nothing else as clothing is needed in January, (I’ve been there in the winter several times).

i went march of 2005 for my 21st and i was kinda upset that i didn’t take more comfy clothes. heels will kill you if you do all the walking. hats and umbrellas might be good too. i’m not sure how the weather is but i caught an ugly storm. light jacket or sweater will also be good. going in and out of places will get you sick if you’re not prepared for it. careful with the shows, they will make it seem like it’s a must see just to get your money and then you find out the whole show sucked. lol.
have fun and be safe!

Just wear comfortable clothes. Noone there is dressed up that I noticed when I was there. I went in february. t-shirts are ok in the day. But it does get quite chilly at night. Shorts and capris are not needed too cold for that- all day. Check temp b4 you go just to see what they are saying about that weeks weather.

bring a jacket. i was there last week, and last year i was there over valentines. its chilly. and windy.
i would go see penn & teller over at the rio. every time we’ve tried to get tickets its been sold out. we went and saw the price is right live over at bally’s. its mon-fri (i think) at 2:30, about 1.5 hours. it was a lot of fun. make sure you get monorail tickets. its worth it and it saves a lot on walking.
dinners can get pretty expensive, i would recomend getting players cards from your hotel and use them if you are planning on gambling much. we have them from the tropicanna from last year, and got 2 free dinner because of them, and we got them from the MGM (where we stayed this time) and i got one nights stay credited back to me, as well as 2 free buffet passes which we used at dinner and would have cost us almost $60, and it was all you can eat crab/shrimp/you name it.
i would suggest wanding thru the resturaunts at MGM, they have some nice ones. and do the same with whatever hotel you are at, as well as some of them near by. if you go to the monorail, they have a book that lists all the places in all the hotels so there is a lot to look at.
have fun!! and dont lose all your money like i did! lol

We go to Vegas twice a year. This is my very favorite vacation spot. We’re lucky enough to live close so we can drive. Other wise our visits would be more like every other year!
Vegas has become very casual. During the winter months, I always wear comfortable pants, like jeans, or cords what ever you are most comfortable in. Sweat shirts or pull over sweaters will be appropriate, and very comfortable walking shoes. The strip and old town is huge, there is so much to see. You will do a lot of walking.
For the evening shows, I wear either dress pants and dressy blouse or sweater. Or a nice dress that is not over done but dressy. Like dressy enough for an evening date type thing with heels.
Here’s wishing you lots of fun and lots of luck. Hope you win the jack pot!!
P/S: No matter what you wear, people around you will not take notice. They are so busy enjoying themselves they look right through you. The people who work there are wonderful. You will get quality service with the biggest and brightest smile from every one. You’re gonna’ love it.
