have her see a doctor, they can give her hormone replacement therapy (HRT) drugs to help ease her mood swings.
if you check with someone at a natural foods store, they may be able to advise you on some herbs or vitamins that could help her during this time, I know there is an herb but I forget what it’s called.

yes, buy her some Estroven. It is a natural pill that helps. My mom takes them. It is over the counter and you can buy it at most grocery stores and pharmacies.
Do not listen to the person above me about Hormone Replacement Therapy, it has been proven that it can cause breast cancer. My grandmother actually developed breast cancer when she began (HRT.)

There are over the counter things to have her take but she has to be willing to take this. It won’t work any if she refuses or forgets this. Keep in mind that’s bad but it’s temporary. She may not be aware of how this affecting all of you, try to tell her on an up moment how bad it is coming across now.
Tell her that you are concerned for and about her during this and want her to see her ob/gyn soon. Both can be found in the vitamin section in the stores. Ask a pharmacist there if you can’t find them on the shelves. One of those should help.
I would suggest either black cohosh for reducing the symptoms (but that’s an herb and can have some side effects) or there is at the least some fish oil capsules that help reduce this in a big way. I have used them and my bf said he doesn’t even notice if I’m going through any of the change now.
