Hi there. You just have to tell yourself “no” and remind yourself why you are doing the things you do. Try looking up new recipes for low-fat food, the odd treat is fine as long as your not pigging out 24/7. The healthier you are, the healthier your baby is. Good luck :)

try to get the junk foods out of your life. Make sure there are none of those junk foods you desire in the house and only what you used to eat.

Look online at healthy websites. I saw one called “Getcha Grub On” and it has lots of good recipes. Also recipes.com and the Food Network website are full of inspiring recipes.

Don’t starve yourself of sweets, if that’s what you really want. Just have a little bit, enough to satisfy your craving. Like, sometimes I will go to McDonald’s and get a grilled chicken salad and a small fries. That way I can get the salty treat, but the main meal is still healthy. Or compromise your meals and eat foods that aren’t very unhealthy, but still could be better for you. There is nothing worse than eating foods you don’t want, I am having the same problem!!!

How about yogurt? Fruit was my major craving (they said that was a sign it would be a girl but they were WRONG!), so I found ways to work fruit into every meal. Yogurt and fruit, cereal and fruit, chicken with fresh pineapple, salads with fruit, fruit salads…it must have worked, because I only gained 25 lbs total, and I was a bit overweight to begin with, so I lost it all and then some when I gave birth. Another thing you might try is eat your fruit first, and wait a bit. If you’re still hungry, THEN have that corn dog.

Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy.

Your hormone levels are changing pretty frequently during pregnancy, and when it comes to what you like and do not like when you’re pregnant, anything goes. One day you might LOVE chocolate chip cookies, the next day, the very thought of someone bringing a cookie into your house may make you homicidal. :)
A dietition’s advice would be helpful. He or she can tell you what your nutritional needs are and can suggest ways you never might have considered.
    I wish you the best!

I’m 37 weeks pregnant with #4 and all I want to eat is watermelon. Seriously, I can eat a whole one every night! Just because you aren’t craving something or it doesn’t sound good, doesn’t mean you can’t eat it anyway. As long as it doesn’t make you actually throw up, you should try to eat it and try to be healthy with your choices. I gained 70 pounds with my first one and only 25 with this one. It’s hard to lose it, so don’t gain more than you have to! Good luck.

It is hard when you crave things bad for you when pregnant. don’t deprive you self of the junk food but slow it down. Eat it once a week. instead of all the time. Make you self eat the healthy stuff again slowly. Trying getting food that is healthy for you and the baby it doesn’t have to be grilled chicken all the time. you can bake you food. or use slower cooker with healthy food recipes.

Well you can start by not buying any junk food. If theres only healthy food in the house, thats all youll be able to eat. Just make fresh salads and a healthy meal and force urself to eat that and hopefully you will start to crave that instead. Its going to be hard when you crave junk, but you can do it! Good luck and enjoy your baby =]
