SHOULD POST MENOPAUSAL WOMEN BE NOT ALLOWED TO MARRY?

Posted on 10. Mar, 2010 by admin in Menopause

If merry wedlock is not allowed because of the expression nonentity of reproduction, then place menopausal women should not be allowed to unite either.

Furthermore she should be berated and ostracized for disagreeable to defeat the hospital of marriage.
I surmisal i should explain that this discourse is directed at anti-gay wedlock types, specially those who indorse their function on the deposit that merry grouping can’t reproduce. I full hold wedlock status for place menopausal women.

  • menopause cant have child
  • menopause destroys marriage
  • why are barren women not allowed in politics

I agree. And women that can’t have babies due to complications should be murdered on sight as well.

Ugh. Menopause. I still have another forty odd years to go, and it *still* sends shivers down my spine.

PS- I love your arguments. <3

    Yet ANOTHER straw-man argument about same-sex marriage….

    WTF!?!

As a woman who had a hysterectomy, I find great offence in this question.

    That was my argument EXACTLY.

Or what about people that just can’t reproduce? That have bad reproductive organs? Old people? So they shouldn’t be allowed to marry either, right?

    TOTAL BS.

    I’m with you.

OK, cat_woman, so if a child needs a mother AND a father, you’re saying that children who have single mothers as parents whose father left them should be stripped away and taken to adoption? That’s obviously your argument.

pink baker…no, YOU’RE missing the point. Even if they have the “parts”, it is IMPOSSIBLE for a post menopausal woman to be pregnant. So what relevance do “parts” have?!?

Thank you Cindy and Nick the Italian…very true on both of your points.

It’s not because they cannot reproduce, it’s because homosexuality is a blatant sin.

right! and vasectomies should be the most blasphemous sin! anyone who gets their tubes tied should be stoned!!!

@super atheist: lol, i was hoping no one would read it like that, silly goose.

I am against gay marriage because children need a father and a mother. 2 mothers cannot make up for what a lacking father could give. 2 fathers could not make up for what a lacking mother could give.

You’re missing the point, a woman has the right equipment to have a baby. Two gays don’t. If the older lady married an older man, they have the right parts.

Also, all barren women/men with low sperm counts should be ostracized and put in communities by themselves, and marriage is forbidden. The point of marriage is to reproduce after all, and letting these less than perfect people get married simply DESTROYS the sanctity of marriage.

Just in case you can’t tell, that was sarcasm.

I know, right? Im 50 years old, definitely past breeding age.

Someone better tell my very good gentleman friend that his proposal of marriage will have to be turned down because I cannot have children anymore.

So? Who’s going to step up and give him the bad news?

I’ll pass on the beating and ostracized thing though. I mean, they can try it, but I’ve got a black belt AND a shotgun, so I don’t think they’ll have much luck.

EDIT: To facepalm kitteh: I used to think that too, but by the time you get here to menopause you’ll be VERY VERY happy to be done with that monthly nonsense. And nothing else really changes. Keep active and happy, and you don’t turn into a shriveled old shrew by any means.

And, you got THAT right Off Grid Granny. Well said.

Actually, there are some people out there who do believe that, yet vilify their elders for living together without sanctity of marriage. I guess when you reach the age of 50 (or thereabouts) you’re just supposed to find yourself the nearest ice floe and say bye-bye.

I find it astonishing that these types of people have such little respect for the heart, mind, and soul of people, and instead see the self as simply a body for pumping out more children.

Added: Sanctity mean sanctioned, whether that sanction is by a church or a government.

There is no so called “sanctity” of marriage. Marriage first started as a way for families to sell off their daughter for money. “morals” from the bible are useless.

The fact that gay men are not allowed to marry is not because of they cant produce offspring. Hell, if anything, its better that way, what with the overpopulation in todays world. They are not allowed to marry, because people do not believe it is right. Just as people thought that blacks shouldn’t have any civil rights. They don’t like CHANGE.
Anyone that is different is shunned in todays society, which is down right ridiculous.

Don’t quite see how it fits. Most post menopausal women that marry were most likely married before and had children or even grandchildren. I’m not against it.

They Should be allow to get married Both gays and Menopausal woman both. Marriage isn’t for people just to have kids. it for Love and to understand one another. they should allow people to married because of love. not just for people to have kids.

Perhaps, to satisfy these types, we should go back to the old practices; it’s not a true and legal marriage until the first child is born. Until then, the status of the marriage is tenuous at best.

That way, infertile men can’t marry either – because we don’t want to put the burden of all this on the women.

I saw the question earlier this is referencing, and the statement that if you cannot produce children, you should not marry.

Here’s the thing – homosexuals can and DO produce children with the aid of surrogates and friends who donate the sperm or the egg, and/or carry the child to term for them.

That’s having a child in marriage.

Or should we invalidate the marriages of all those – especially Hollywood types – who choose to adopt instead of have their own children? because those poor parent-less children don’t deserve decent parents who want them, do they?

This is a sick and twisted mindset people hold – and those people are the exact ones who should NOT breed OR adopt – to spare the world their sick thoughts being passed on to another generation.

You forgot barren women too haha. Some women just can’t have babies, i guess they have no worth than, might as well round them up and shot them out back. It is ridiculous. They say it is because of the birthing thing, than they say it is because homosexuals only care about sex, than they try and use animals (which most have homosexual tendencies) it is ridiculous all of it. It doesn’t bother them, if their church doesn’t want to preform the ceremonies it is there right, but what difference does it make at the end of the day to them. Is it really keeping them up at night

That’s exactly what I said to my mother when she said the dumb thing about gays not being able to reproduce. “So, then Don and I shouldn’t have been allowed to marry because I was already in menopause and he had had a vasectomy?” She had no answer.

But we did our part to destroy the institution of marriage and got married anyway.

You know, the Church still forbids impotent men to wed.

Infertile couples are a toss-up and a controversial issue within Catholicism.

Nah, they may be “defused” but those bombshells still have the right Equipment. Pardon my mild homophobia, but really, these, um, “mating” parts are designed for each other, penises in rectums is an abuse in my mind. (abuse of the sphincter, which has an important role later in life. Female to female, i just think that’s a bit sad.
